Alli Review

Alli (Orlistat) is a half-dose over-the-counter version of Xenical, yet equally effective for weight loss. Alli works by blocking the absorption of one-quarter of any fat consumed.

Alli is the first and only over-the-counter (OTC) weight loss product approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Beginning on June 15, 2007, Alli was released for sale in the U.S. as a non-prescription diet pill.

Alli works of the same principle as Xenical. It obstructs the dietary fat from being absorbed which is present in the food intake. This undigested fat is then removed from the body through bowel movements. It facilitates in reducing the absorption of fat by 30%. This whole process in turn causes weight loss.

Alli diet pill is available in the strength of 60mg which should be consumed with a glassful of water. Do not indulge in over dose of Alli (Orlistat) as it may harm your health. Strictly adhere to your doctors’ prescription. For effective results it should be aligned with weight loss programs.

I see all kinds of people saying that this product does not work, when the reality is that they are not adhering to the plan as prescribed. If you expect to loose weight while you are still stuffing your face with anything you want, then NOTHING will work. There is no such thing as a diet pill that will let you lose weight without doing anything, and Alli never makes that claim either. I have been using it for 2 months and have lost 20 pounds so far along with the reduced calorie/fat diet and excersice. Neither have I experienced any of the dreadful treatment effects, because I have followed the plan’s instructions. Good luck to you all out there trying to find that miracle fix while you are still not willing to change your lifestyle!

  2. I am 62 female, Ide Like to know if or what does it do to the stomach, I am in good health except for, back problems and I am 40 lbs. over weight. Besides the oily stools and frequent trips to the bathroom, is there any thing I should be worried about? Thank You Rose Elliott

I’ve been taking Alli for a week. I haven’t seen any results yet. I will admit, I’ve only changed my diet slightly. Out of fear, I’ve stopped pigging out. I have had the side effects. I know I deserve them. To Rose, I generally have a bad stomach. My stomach complaints have improved. I think that’s because less grease is actually being digested. My bowls aren’t happy at the moment. I’m affraid to pass gas, because you never know what’s going to come out.

you don’t want to eat more fat – you’re trying to lose weight right? drink lots more water. make sure you drinking at least 64 ounces a day. if that doesn’t work in a few days then contact your doctor and ask what they would suggest.

I’ve been trying hard to lose weight for a couple of years, keeping calories at 1500 per day or less, with little luck. I started taking Alli and 6 weeks later I’m down 10 pounds. I haven’t had the loose stools/oily gas; quite the opposite. My nurse practitioner recommended a stool softener. 25 pounds to go–hope it keeps working!!

I BEEN STRUGGLING WITH WEIGHT LOSS FOR THE LONGEST TIME, IVE ALWAYS BEEN THE BIGGEST ONE OUT OF MY FAMILY OR MY FRIENDS, I TRIED ALMOST EVERYTHING I WANTED TO GIVE UP UNTIL A FRIEND OF MINE CONVINCED ME TO TRY “ALLI” I BEEN TAKING IT FOR A MONTH NOW, I WAS 160 A MONTH AGO, AND NOW I LOST 30 POUNDS, IM PROUDLY TO SAY THAT IM BACK TO 130 AGAIN. IT FEELS GREAT!, ALL I DID WAS TAKE ALLI 3x A DAY, DID JOIN A GYM, ALL I CAN SAY IS ALOT OF RUNNING DOES WORK, EVEN FOR 15-30 MINS ADAY. IT REALLY DOEST WORK. WITHIN 1 MONTH I LOST DRASTIC WEIGHT.

Alli definitely works. I think people exaggerate about the side effects. I mean, come on. Who cares if you poop out orange diarrhea oil? Just wipe it like you would any other poop. It’s not that noticeable. And I’ve definitely never pooped myself or anything. It’s really not that bad. If I had to choose between that and being fat, I would choose to poop out orange oil 24/7 lol
But yeah Alli is great, but obviously you can’t count on it ALONE for weight loss, make sure to eat in moderation and get some exercise. Then you’re good to go. Always remember that the small things add up. Especially things like soda. And Alli does NOT reduce the amount of fat you get from things like carbs/sugars/protein. The sugar in a soda is converted to fat in a different process, so Alli does not affect it.
