Avesil Review

Avesil diet pills are designed to help users control their weight through the process of thermogenesis, which speeds up the metabolism so that fat can be burned off more quickly. This type of diet pill is most commonly referred to as a fat burner. Avesil, like other fat burners, contains a few stimulants, such as caffeine and green tea extract, however for the most part this diet pill falls dreadfully short of most other diet pills in its class.

The ingredients in Avesil diet pills are: calcium, chromium, potassium, garcinia cambogia, green tea and caffeine anhydrous. As there have not been studies conducted on the entire formula, it is important to look at each ingredient independently to check on its value within the product.

Calcium and potassium are both very important elements to a healthy diet. Though they do not seem to be used in any dangerous way within the drug, they also may not have any contribution to weight loss, either.

Chromium is used in a large number of weight loss products. The claims surrounding it are that it can help to regulate blood sugar levels, which makes weight loss much easier, especially with respect to the consumption of carbohydrates. This being said, according to the Mayo Clinic and other reliable health experts, there has been no reliable proof provided by clinical studies to suggest that any weight loss is directly or indirectly related to the use of chromium.

Garcinia cambogia is often found in diet pills as a source of hydroxycitic acid (HCA). It is thought that HCA may inhibit an enzyme in the body called citrate lyase that is responsible for converting excess carbohydrates into fat. For this reason, HCA may help reduce the amount of body fat produced as well as suppress appetite, but human studies so far have not been conclusive. The safety of HCA has also recently come into question when the FDA issued a warning against the entire line of Hydroxycut products (not affiliated with Avesil) that contain it. Though unconfirmed at this point, the leading belief is that the dangerous health problems – relating primarily with the liver – were caused by the HCA content in these diet supplements. For this reason, many health experts are advising against using products containing HCA, until it can be proven safe or otherwise.

Green tea has been recognized in clinical studies for its ability to increase the rate at which fat is burned. However, these studies also showed that a minimum of 300 mg must be consumed in order to be effective. As Avesil diet pills only contain 150mg of green tea extract, it likely does not have a strong enough concentration to have any real benefit for weight loss.

Caffeine anhydrous is simply a fancy name for the same kind of regular caffeine you’d find in coffee or soft drinks. It is a stimulant and while it can boost the metabolism and energy levels, it is also known for causing unpleasant side effects in people when taken in high doses, or among individuals sensitive to stimulants. However, since Avesil only contains 50mg of caffeine per recommended dose users will probably not experience any side effects. This being said, at this low of a dose, the caffeine will have very little effect at all, particularly as a weight loss aid.

Despite the fact that Avesil diet pills are promoted by some large weight loss websites, this product is not worthy of the positive reviews it has received. Its formulation is very weak and most people will find it gives them no more advantage for losing weight than just simply eating a few less calories a day and getting a little bit more exercise.

Also, compared to other diet pills, Avesil is sold for an appalling $89.95 USD for a months supply, which is way too pricey for a product that contains such common, inexpensive ingredients. Avesil does offer a 14-day free trial, however you will still have to fork out for shipping and handling and then go through the tiring process of canceling your order if you don’t want to be charged the $89.95 on your credit card. These types of “Free Trial” offers almost always end up with an unhappy customer being billed for a product they don’t want. It’s best to avoid this all together.

This product is indeed a scam. They must pay people to write all the great reviews all over that you see because let me tell you this has been a nightmare.

    1. I applied for the product on 3/26/2010
    2. I didn’t receive it till 4/01/2010
    3. The ’14 day free trial’ ended on 4/09/2010

This obviously is not a lot of time to try the product and supposedly send it back.. but anyway.

    4. By 04/07/2010 I had GAINED 3 pounds.
    5. I started calling to get the *RMA Code 4/7
    6. No one answered. Left message.
    7. Called back 6 times on the 7th. No answer.
    8. Called back on the 8th.. see above.
    9. Called back on the 9th.. see above.
    10. The 9th passes and now I am ‘outside my trial period’ so I am out $90.

I am still trying to get someone on the phone to take this useless crap back. No one has yet called me back nor answered their phone. Do not be scammed! And if you feel sorry for me, feel free to toss me $3 via paypal at chelworks@gmail.com for saving you $90 🙂 Maybe I can get my money back heh.

I have to honest here. What I did was get a prepaid CC and used that for my free trial. Thank goodness. I never do free trials any other way. That’s what I would do. Protect yourself first. This is before all this negative stuff came out. Wow I’m so glad. You can always call back with a regular CC. I’ve tried the Avesil and am finding I’m having horrible sleep problems. Even if I only take 2 in the and 2 at lunch. I have lots of energy and it has surpressed my hunger but with the reports on this company I would not advise trying this. There are too many other good products and companies out there. Avesil has 117 complaints at BBB so far and only 14 were resolved.
