Propolene is an “As Seen on TV” diet pill manufactured by a company called Obesity Research. Propolene is marketed as a natural appetite suppressant that is clinically proven to aid weight loss.
The only ingredient contained in Propolene diet pills is a soluble dietary fiber called Propol, which is simply Glucomannan. Glucomannan is a fiber extracted from konjac root that is a very common diet pill ingredient. As a high source of fiber, glucomannan has been known to have some results as an appetite suppressant. When combined with a high intake of water, it expands into a large mass of a gel-like substance that makes you feel fuller than you actually are.
The directions for using Propolene suggest that you should take 3 capsules before each meal. Three capsules contain 1500mg of Propol (glucomannan), which has been found in at least one published, reputable study to be an effective dosage for reducing appetite. Thus, despite its simplicity, Propolene does appear to contain enough glucomannan to aid in appetite suppression and weight loss.
There are a number of online sources where you can buy Propolene and the prices range greatly. Another option would be to purchase pure Glucomannan, which is a cheaper option and will provide the same benefits given you take it in the same dosages.
Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, take 3 capsules of Propolene 30 minutes before meals up to two times per day with at least 8 oz of water.
